Build for Blipbar

Fill in the brackets and paste the prompt into the AI you code with. It reads these docs and builds it with you.

Show something from a service in the notch, like today’s orders or a failing build.

Build a Blipbar extension that shows [what you want to see, like my Shopify orders today] in my Mac's notch.

Read https://blipbar.app/docs/integrations.txt first. Start with npm create blipbar-extension@latest <name>, adding -- --template <kind> if one fits. Put API keys in a password preference and list every host it fetches in permissions.network. When npx blipkit validate passes, start npx blipkit dev (it keeps running) and tell me how to place it in the notch.

A small utility that opens in the notch when you need it, like a converter or a lookup.

Build a Blipbar tool that [what it does, like checks a domain's DNS records]. It opens from the tray in my Mac's notch.

Read https://blipbar.app/docs/tools.txt first. Start with npm create blipbar-extension@latest <name>, make it tools-only (no update() or interval), and check it with npx blipkit validate --tool <tool> --values '<json>'. Then start npx blipkit dev (it keeps running) and tell me how to add it to the tray.

Let a script or app on your Mac put something in the notch while it runs, like a backup’s progress.

Make [my script or app, like my nightly backup script] show [what, like its progress and whether it worked] in Blipbar, the status bar in my Mac's notch.

Read https://blipbar.app/docs/webhooks.txt first. Post blips to Blipbar's local webhook, reading the port and token from ~/Library/Application Support/Blipbar/webhook.json each time, and keep one blip id that you update as things change.

They’re written for your AI as much as for you, and each prompt points it at the one file it needs. extensions.txt has the guide and the reference in one file. To read them yourself, start here. Questions go in the Discord.
